Our latest home obsession: bar carts.
Every home should have one, whether you use it once a day, once a week, once a month … or it’s just part of your home decor … they are a great accent to any room.
The Parker Mid-Century Bar Cart from West Elm is the perfect choice: a great combination of wood and gold accents and plenty of space for all your bar necessities.
Another bar cart option we like is the Mercury Bar Cart from Anthropologie. Simple and sophisticated.
And now the fun begins: collecting all the bar necessities!
Start with the wine rack. We love lucite because of its simplistic and chic look. This one from CB2 is great because it’s stackable which means it’s sizable.
For better or for worse: there are a million choices for glassware. Our personal preference is a combination of both classic and modern, like the Rona Wine Glass by CB2 shown above. A great place to start is Crate and Barrel as they have a wide variety of styles (going stemless?) and prices.
West Elm has great bar accessories. We especially like the shaker and Mason jar decanter from the W+P Design Barware Collection.
Paper straws!! So much fun and so much variety. You can go classic with stripes or shake things up a bit with polka dots. Best place to start with these: Amazon.com. Use a Mason jar to put them in; these can easily be found at Target and goes with the bar accessories from West Elm above.
Feel free to add decorative pieces: an orchid or succulent plant, a book or two. Get creative!
Another take on the bar cart is the butler tray table. We absolutely adore this look … simple and elegant, the perfect piece for a smaller room.
Happy Bar Carting!
