Chunky Knits #FTW
Although this went mostly, if not completely unnoticed, real life jobs forced us into hiatus in the middle of 2014, but we’re back in (the second month) of 2015 and our hope is to make the time to be present on our blog as well as our Instagram account. Wish us luck!
With that said, we wanted to kick things off with one of our latest obsessions (and rather timely, considering the weather in a good part of the States): chunky knits. The bigger, the better. Go big, or go home. Our current favorites come from Wool And The Gang, a great place to find chic patterns, amazing yarns and knit kits.
A knit kit is one-stop shopping: everything you’ll need to knit that hat, sweater, whatever your heart desires. Since we tend to binge knit (quell horror), hats inevitably end up being our project du jour since they tend to be easy and fast. Who doesn’t like quick results?
And the end result here, from a rainy Sunday of knitting, is the Beastly Boys Beanie (knit kit from Wool and The Gang). We absolutely adore the leopard “print” and the hardest part was choosing the color combination.
Super cozy (read: practical for that colder weather) and super chic (read: you won’t feel like you’re wearing something your grandmother lovingly made you), it’s a win-win.
On this cold and rainy Los Angeles day (yes, we know they are few and far between), we paired our Wool and The Gang Beastly Boys Beanie with our Isabel Marant for H&M oversized zip sweater, ripped jeans and classic Timberlands.
So while we not-so-quietly obsess over Wool and The Gang and all things chunky knit, go check out the Gang’s website. Happy knitting, knitters!
P.S.: Did you know you can also purchase items made by the Gang? So for those of you non-knitters, this site’s for you.
